By Plane
Boston - Boston Logan international airport in Massachussetts is about 45 minutes to an hour drive to Providence, Rhode Island. It is the closest international airport and probably the airport with the cheapest flights .
Providence - Rhode Island T.F. Green International Airport in Providence is mostly used for USA local flights. It is the closest - about 15 to 20 minutes drive. Eventhough it has international in the name, any international flight will require a stopover somewhere. You can't get a direct flight from outside of the US. Will recommend for those traveling from with the USA.
